First prize in a prestigious international contest
Alexandre LORY wins first prize in the Milan International Competition
Alexandre LORY has just won First Prize in a very exceptional international contest: Milan’s Umanitaria Society holds a competition each year to find the most talented musician from 25 of the most prestigious conservatoires in Europe. This year, 75 musicians of all instruments were competing, each conservatoire having selected three of its most talented students.
The Paris Conservatoire chose Alexander LORY, who is currently studying for his Artist Diploma, along with a violinist and a cellist.
After the first round, 15 candidates then competed in the final round, 3 of them pianists. Alexandre was awarded First Prize and the sum of 7,000€. The prize-winners concert took place in the prestigious Salle Verdi at the Milan Conservatoire.
