Another bumper year

Alexandre LORY has had a very successful training at the Paris Conservatoire, having completed the bachelor degree course in two years and the masters degree with distinction. In October he was ranked first in the entrance exam to the highest echelon of the Paris conservatoire: the “Diplôme d’artiste interprète” (D.A.I). A few weeks earlier he was awarded a prize for his overall performance at the international “Euregio Piano Awards” competition in Geilenkirchen, Germany.

Florian CAROUBI won First Prize in the Bois-le-duc International Competition together with the mezzo-soprano Adèle CHARVET. This prestigious Dutch lieder competition awarded a First Prize only this year, in addition to which Florian and Adèle were also awarded no less than four special prizes. One month later, Florian was one of 24 pianists to be selected amongst about 100 candidates to participate in the final round of the formidable Busoni competition (Bolzano) which will take place in the summer of 2017. To cap all these achievments, in November Florian was honoured with the title “Lauréat 2016 HSBC” at the Aix-en-Provence festival.

Gaspard THOMAS won a place at the Paris Conservatoire in February, where he went to study in September with Claire DESERT. In early 2016 he was a semi-finalist in the “Virtuoses du coeur” competition.

Mathis CATHIGNOL, aged 15, won First Prize in the Flame competition (under 16 category) and First Prize in the Île-de-France competition (“superior” level)

Kim BERNARD, aged 17, gained his Bachelors Degree at the Lyon conservatoire, and is continuing his studies on the Masters course with Laurent CABASSO.

Nicolas VAN DINH obtained a Masters Degree in pedagogy at the Geneva conservatoire and is pursuing his studies on the “Masters in performance” course.

Gabriel STERN was awarded the Virtuoso Prize at the International Adilia Alieva competition. Having obtained a Bachelor Degree at the Geneva conservatoire, he is now studying on the “Masters in performance” course.

David VIDAUD obtained his Bachelors Degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels.

Jean-Baptiste FLEUR entered the Pôle Supérieur of Paris-Boulogne-Billancourt this autumn.
