2007 achievements

Our biggest success story of 2007 was without doubt that of our student Paisit BON-DANSAC who was selected by unanimous vote to enter the Paris Conservatoire in February when he was only just 14.

The following August he achieved yet another remarkable feat by winning the 1st Prize at the “Académie Pianistique Internationale”, competing against several Paris. Conservatoire graduates and many advanced overseas pianists including ones from Korea and Japan.

Fabrice BIBAS also succeeded in entering the Paris Conservatoire last February and subsequently won 3rd prize at the St Quentin-en-Yvelines competition.

Jennifer PICOT passed the first round of the formidable entrance competition for the Paris Conservatoire.

In June, Rémi GERNET succeeded at the entrance exam of the Geneva Conservatoire. Three others achieved the required level but were not able to enter due to a lack of available places.

In September, Grégory LEONTI so impressed the jury at the entrance exam of the Brussels Conservatoire that he was admitted directly to the second year of the training course.

Last January, Anne GUIDI obtained the C.A (advanced level teaching diploma) in piano accompaniment.

François MASSEI succeeded in entering the teacher-training college in Aubagne (CEFEDEM-sud).

Julien KURTZ won the third prize in the “International Competition for Exceptional Amateurs” which took place in Boston, USA. He was the only French candidate in the final round.

Also in June, Anahid TER-BOGHOSSIAN and Julien VEGA obtained the D.E (Diplôme d’etat) at the teacher-training colleges of Dijon and Aubagne.

Frédérick SENDRA and Marie HAUGEL successfully completed their first year at the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Paris as duettists. They also won the 1st Prize in the Piano Duo section of the “Concours International de France” last March.

As for Bertrand MASSEI, after being unanimously chosen at the entrance contest of the Lyon Conservatoire 3 years ago, he came first in the end of year exams. He will be graduating in June 2008.
