Piano Cantabile confirms its reputation in 2014
In April Ilan ZAJTMANN achieved a remarkable feat by passing the entrance audition to the Lyon Conservatoire having only just reached his 13th birthday. Two weeks earlier he won first prize in the under-26 “young talents” category of the Montrond-les-bains competition, with some of his competitors being twice as old as him.
April was a good month, with Marjorie SAUNIER succeeding in entering the Geneva Conservatoire to study with Cédric PESCIA.
David VIDAUD and Claire de CAMPREDON both entered the Royal Brussels Conservatoire in September. Thanks to their excellent level, they have both been admitted directly to the second year of the degree course.
In June Paisit Bon-Dansac obtained his 2nd Masters degree at the Paris Conservatoire.
Nicolas VAN DINH has been awarded a 2nd Masters degree with a very high distinction at the Geneva Conservatoire.
Alexandre FARAUDO and Emmanuelle BIZIEN have also gained their 2nd Masters degrees at the Royal Brussels Conservatoire with high honours.
Mathis CATHIGNOL, a 13-year-old prodigy, won first prize in the Paris “Flame” competition in the under-14 category.
Amandine HABIB was coached by Piano Cantabile for her first commercial recording centred around Bach which she recorded in Germany in October.
