The Clara Haskil Competition, held every two years in Vevey, Switzerland, awards only one Prize and doesn’t necessarily award it at every competition. In 2025, Paul Lecocq, just 20 years old, won this prestigious trophy worth CHF 25,000, or over €26,000. Paul also won the Audience Prize worth CHF 3,000.
After being trained by Christine Fonlupt at the Conservatoire de Saint-Maur, Paul joined Piano Cantabile in 2021 and was admitted to the Paris Conservatoire in 2022 to study with Claire Désert and Romano Pallottini.
The same month, Etienne Rall entered the Paris Conservatoire at just 17 years old. A student of Olivier Chauzu and then Laurent Molinès at the Toulouse Conservatoire, Etienne will be studying with Marie-Josèphe Jude.
Also this month Philippe Jeandron was admitted to the Lyon Conservatoire to study with Jérôme Granjon. Philippe was trained at the Boulogne Conservatoire by Bastien Dollinger.
Thuy Tien Dang, who also studied at the Boulogne Conservatoire with Guillaume Sigier, entered the Royal Conservatory of Brussels.
Nils Vernazobres joined the Neuchâtel University of Music to study with François Dumont after being trained by Nicolas Mallarte at the Boulogne Conservatoire.
Finally, Raphaël de Chaumaray was admitted to the Fribourg University of Music to study with Christian Chamorel.
