Born in 1999, Kim BERNARD discovered the piano at the age of 5. In 2008 he began learning with Bernard d’ASCOLI and Eleanor HARRIS and entered the regional Toulon conservatoire to study with Célimène DAUDET, graduating in 2011 at the tender age of 12.
In 2012 he won two prestigious prizes in international competitions: the “young talent” prize at the Concours d’Ile de France and First Prize at Montrond-les-bains; in the same year he also won First Prize at the national competition of Aix-en-provence.
In 2013, aged just 13, he entered the national Lyon Conservatoire to study with Florent BOFFARD. He has made frequent recital and concerto appearances and in 2015 won the Kurtag prize at the international competition of Orléans. Kim is also endowed with a unique improvising talent.
