Piano Cantabile’s young talents gained success at international level in 2008
Once again it is Paisit BON-DANSAC who obtained the most remarquable results in 2008. After entering the Paris conservatoire last year by unanimous vote at the age of 14, then gaining First Prize in the 2007 “Académie Pianistique Internationale” in the same year, he went on to win two more first prizes in 2008 : the Chatou competition in May, and the Crans Montana ” future virtuosos” (Switzerland) in August where, in addition to the first prize he also won the audience prize.
Violaine DEBEVER was also a prize-winner (3rd prize) in the 2008 “Académie Pianistique Internationale” of Aix-en-Provence in August, the only European pianist qualified for the final round.
Benoît TOURETTE, former First Prize of the Paris Conservatoire, was another prize-winner at the International Ibiza Competition. His fifth position, amongst 40 pianists from the five continents, was achieved while preparing his diploma in Paris to become a certified piano teacher.
In June, Jennifer PICOT was admitted to the International Geneva Conservatoire.
In June Alexandra LESCURE obtained her teaching diploma (DE) at the CEFEDEM-sud, the teaching-training course of the South of France.
Bertrand MASSEI finished his four year course at the Lyon Conservatoire Supérieur in June, with a Mention Très Bien. He was immediately engaged to teach at the Toulon Conservatoire. He will eventually become a certified teacher after his two-year training course in Lyon.
Finally, Nicolas COLLINET obtained his diploma with Distinction at the International Brussels Conservatoire.
